A la vez que abordaron temas de <strong>migraci\u00f3n<\/strong>, seguridad, comercio y turismo entre ambos pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">En Texas les interesa el <strong>Corredor Interoce\u00e1nico<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante <strong>casi dos horas<\/strong>, el primer mandatario y su Gabinete de Seguridad se reunieron en Palacio Nacional con Michael McCaul, presidente del Comit\u00e9 de Asuntos Exteriores de la C\u00e1mara de Representantes; Randy Weber y Henry Cuellar. Quienes estuvieron acompa\u00f1ados por el embajador Ken Salazar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Hablamos de seguridad, por supuesto, y sobre todo del <strong>Istmo de Tehuantepec<\/strong>, que <strong>les interesa mucho tambi\u00e9n conocer el proyecto del corredor<\/strong>&#8220;, explic\u00f3 la canciller Alicia B\u00e1rcena al salir del encuentro. Se\u00f1alando que este vers\u00f3 sobre &#8220;la muy productiva relaci\u00f3n que existe entre Estados Unidos y M\u00e9xico&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En tanto que el republicano McCaul destac\u00f3 que &#8220;tuvimos una productiva pl\u00e1tica con el Presidente sobre muchos temas, principalmente comercio. Somos de Texas, el socio comercial m\u00e1s grande, la facilidad de viajar a la frontera, para ir de ida y de vuelta, y luego <strong>hablamos mucho sobre el Istmo<\/strong>, en el sur de M\u00e9xico&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tambi\u00e9n tocaron el tema de la <strong>migraci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En ese sentido, el dem\u00f3crata Cu\u00e9llar se\u00f1al\u00f3 que la seguridad y &#8220;las visas para tener m\u00e1s mexicanos e ir a trabajar en los Estados Unidos es muy importante&#8221;. Puesto que al d\u00eda hay d\u00eda hay m\u00e1s de dos millones de negocios en territorio estadounidense que <strong>representan fuentes de empleo a ambos lados de la frontera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cuestionado sobre <strong>si hay preocupaci\u00f3n por parte de las autoridades texanas<\/strong> <strong>en cuanto al tema migratorio<\/strong>, el congresista respondi\u00f3 que se debe seguir colaborando entre ambos Gobiernos para encontrar soluciones en el lado mexicano. Si bien rechaz\u00f3 abordar la pol\u00e9mica en torno al gobernador Greg Abbott, del Partido Republicano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>&#8220;En el pasado, en los noventas, eran mexicanos que iban a los Estados Unidos a trabajar. Ahora tenemos personas que vienen de m\u00e1s de 50 pa\u00edses del mundo y queremos tomar las medidas que podamos manejar la seguridad y la inmigraci\u00f3n&#8221;, dijo Cu\u00e9llar respecto a la magnitud de la actual ola migratoria.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>La secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores reiter\u00f3 que, para atender este fen\u00f3meno, &#8220;<strong>vamos a trabajar juntos con una mirada regional<\/strong>, apoyando tambi\u00e9n la frontera sur de M\u00e9xico, Guatemala, los pa\u00edses del sur, y las causas de origen de la inmigraci\u00f3n. Que nos interesa much\u00edsimo&#8221;.
